Facts about Depression:
- Major Depression can be a serious medical problem
- Depression leads to tiredness, and lethargy
- Depression takes away motivation, and the drive to do things
- Depression is a very treatable illness
- Both medication and non-medication treatments are used (either by themselves,or together) to help people recover
- Combination of both medication and non-medication treatments are more effective than either alone
- Please remember – recovery from major depression is possible! However, active effort is needed to both defeat it, and to keep it from returning
